Job description Design and Engineering Head, BESS (Battery Energy Storage System)Responsibilities Job Role - Develop and lead the design and engineering strategy for the companys BESS battery business in India. Lead a team of engineers and designers to develop battery energy storage systems that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in the design and engineering of BESS battery systems. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities and develop new product offerings. Develop and manage the engineering budget for the BESS battery business, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on time. Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of the BESS battery systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions. Build relationships with key stakeholders in the industry, including government agencies, research institutions, and suppliers. Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. 12-15 years of experience in the design and engineering of battery energy storage systems, with a focus on lithium-ion battery technology. Experience managing a team of engineers and designers, with the ability to inspire and motivate the team to achieve results. Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards in the energy storage industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience working with government agencies and regulatory bodies is a plus. Experience working in the Indian market is preferred.
