Lead AI Engineer

Job Description / Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI agents capable of task execution and decision-making using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Fine-tune large language models (LLMs) including LLaMA, Mistral, and Falcon on proprietary datasets
• Integrate embedding databases (ChromaDB, FAISS) and graph-based retrieval (G-RAG) using Neo4j
• Optimize and deploy models using vLLM, TensorRT, and DeepSpeed for low-latency inference
• Develop predictive models for commodity demand, supply forecasting, ETA predictions, and delay detection
• Optimize logistics simulations and market algorithms for operational efficiency
• Understand complete business goals and apply knowledge during design/development
• Analyze requirements, identify technical feasibility, and propose solution approaches
• Split tasks for User Story implementation considering technical aspects and NFRs
• Provide task estimations and ensure completion accountability
• Lead sprint task management, code reviews, and ensure first-time code quality
• Translate user stories into technical specifications and working code
• Initiate PoCs and feasibility studies for challenging requirements
• Write clean, well-designed code following agile development with TDD
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain core product software and databases
• Contribute to all development lifecycle phases
• Educate and review technology best practices in team
• Follow industry trends, pilot new tools, and ensure team technical scaling
• Mentor junior team members on technology and code quality

• Golang and Python programming expertise
• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and LLM experience
• GCP (Google Cloud Platform) proficiency
• AI/ML experience with applied AI systems and production deployment
• ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)
• Algorithms, optimization, neural networks, reinforcement learning
• Path and function optimization methods (linear programming, simulation-based search)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• 7+ years total experience (5+ years relevant)
