Job Title: Capsule Filling Machine Operator – SA9 Location: Lavanya Healthcare Limited, Dera Bassi, Punjab Department: Production – Solid Oral Dosage (Capsule Section) Reports To: Production Supervisor / Manufacturing Manager Job Purpose: To operate and maintain the SA9 Capsule Filling Machine for accurate and efficient filling of hard gelatin capsules in compliance with cGMP, safety, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate the SA9 Capsule Filling Machine for batch production as per the daily production plan. Perform loading of empty capsules and powder/blend into appropriate hoppers and magazines. Monitor capsule weight, alignment, and sealing throughout the production run. Conduct in-process checks (weight variation, visual inspection, rejection rate) and document findings as per SOPs and BMR. Ensure proper cleaning and line clearance of machine parts before and after every batch or product changeover. Carry out routine lubrication and minor troubleshooting of machine components. Record machine parameters, downtime, yield, and other production data in logbooks and batch documents. Maintain hygiene and safety at the workstation and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times. Assist in preventive maintenance activities and calibration of production equipment as scheduled. Report any deviations, machine malfunctions, or product non-conformities to the production supervisor or quality team immediately. Qualifications & Experience: Educational Qualification: 12th Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in operating SA9 or similar capsule filling machines in a pharmaceutical or nutraceutical plant. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of capsule filling processes and machine operation. Understanding of GMP, documentation practices, and regulatory compliance. Basic mechanical skills for handling minor machine adjustments and troubleshooting. Ability to work in shifts and handle batch documentation accurately. Team player with attention to detail and quality focus. Preferred Experience: . Experience with multiple capsule sizes and formulations (powder, granules, pellets). Familiarity with validation and audit procedures.
