Laundry & Uniform Attendant (with Stitching Skills)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry and Uniform Attendant with basic tailoring/stitching skills to join our team. This role is responsible for the efficient cleaning, pressing, and distribution of staff uniforms and F & B laundry, as well as performing minor repairs and alterations to uniforms and linens as needed.

Key Responsibilities: Laundry & Uniform Duties:

• Sort laundry including uniforms, linens.
• Inspect garments and linens for damage or stains and take appropriate action.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry area.
• Ensure all items are correctly labeled and returned to the appropriate departments or personnel.
• Maintain inventory of uniforms and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Issue and collect uniforms in accordance with company policies.

Stitching & Repair:

• Perform minor stitching and alterations on uniforms and linens (e.g., hemming, button replacement, zipper repair, patching).
• Assist in sizing and fitting of uniforms for new staff members.
• Ensure all repaired garments meet quality standards before redistribution.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in laundry operations, preferably in a hospitality or healthcare setting.
• Basic sewing and tailoring skills (hand and machine stitching).
• Knowledge of different fabric types and appropriate washing/repair techniques.

Skills & Competencies:

• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for long periods.
• Basic inventory management knowledge is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
