Job Description

Role Overview: You will be joining Siemens Energy as a Development Engineer for Rotodynamic & Bearings (f/m/d) where you will play a key role in contributing your expertise to support product development initiatives. Your main responsibility will be to apply your knowledge within a diverse development team to achieve optimal results, ensuring the safe and flexible operation of turbine sets in an ever-changing energy market. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to develop new products and technologies from concept to deployment in power plants. Key Responsibilities: - Improve the efficiency and flexibility of Siemens Energy steam turbine sets by optimizing machine dynamics and tribology through numerical simulation - Contribute to the development of technically advanced rotodynamic systems up to series production while adhering to technical standards and norms - Shape Siemens Energy's future product portfolio by working on projects related to energy transition technologies and transformation Qualifications Required: - Successfully completed masters degree in mechanical engineering, preferably with a PhD in Machine Dynamics or Tribology or a related field - 8-12 years of professional experience in mechanics, machine dynamics, and numerical simulation methods - Extensive expertise in rotor dynamics, including modeling, simulation, and analysis of turbine sets for operational stability and performance - Background in product development for power plant systems, focusing on technical standards, innovation, and large-scale power plants - Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus Additional Details: Siemens Energy is dedicated to equality and welcomes applications that reflect the diversity of the communities it operates in.
