Job Description:
Progenesis is seeking a highly skilled Laravel & MySQL Developer with strong expertise in database design, optimization, and backend development. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling complex queries, improving performance, and building scalable Laravel-based applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain robust web applications using Laravel
Design, optimize, and manage MySQL databases
Write complex SQL queries, joins, subqueries, procedures, and indexes
Ensure high performance, scalability, and data integrity
Implement RESTful APIs and backend logic
Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing code and database queries
Follow best coding standards and security best practices
Collaborate with front-end, QA, and product teams
Mandatory Skills:
Strong expertise in Laravel Framework
Advanced MySQL knowledge (query optimization, indexing, normalization)
Proficient in PHP (OOP concepts)
Experience with database schema design and migrations
Hands-on experience with REST APIs
Familiarity with Git / version control
Good to Have:
Experience with large databases and high-traffic applications
Knowledge of Redis / Queue / Cron jobs
Experience with payment gateway integrations
Exposure to server deployment (AWS, cPanel, Linux)
Basic understanding of front-end frameworks (Vue.js / React)
