Job Description

As a Landscape Architect, you will be responsible for creating detailed design plans and technical drawings for landscape projects. You will play a crucial role in merging creative design concepts with practical execution, ensuring that outdoor environments are not only visually appealing but also functional and sustainable. Collaborating closely with clients, architects, engineers, and construction teams, you will contribute to the development of aesthetically pleasing spaces. Your key responsibilities will include developing conceptual, schematic, and detailed landscape design plans for various types of projects, such as residential, commercial, or public spaces. You will be tasked with creating project documentation encompassing planting plans, hardscape layouts, grading, drainage, irrigation, and lighting plans. Your role will involve translating design intent into construction-ready drawings and specifications, as well as collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the feasibility of designs on-site. As a Landscape Architect, you will be expected to conduct comprehensive site analyses, considering factors like topography, soil composition, climate, and existing vegetation to inform your design solutions. Additionally, you will prepare material specifications, project schedules, and assist in cost estimates preparation. It will be essential for you to stay updated on industry trends, sustainable practices, and emerging materials or technologies to enhance your design approach. Your qualifications for this role should include a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture and 1-3 years of experience in landscape design. Proficiency in CAD software, 3D visualization tools, and a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and detailing will be required. You should possess the ability to interpret and create technical drawings and specifications effectively. Furthermore, excellent design sense, graphic skills, and communication abilities will be essential, along with knowledge of horticulture, grading, drainage, and irrigation systems. Experience in working on multi-disciplinary teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and building codes will be valuable assets in this role. Utilizing software tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite for visualizations and technical documentation will also be part of your responsibilities. Your willingness to attend client meetings, site visits, and construction walkthroughs as necessary will contribute to the successful execution of landscape projects.,
