Job Description

Job Summary: The Land and Liaison Officer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and acquiring land parcels for real estate development. This role also involves liaising with landowners, government authorities, legal advisors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth land transactions and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:Land Acquisition: Identify and assess suitable land parcels for residential, commercial, or industrial projects. Conduct site visits, preliminary surveys, and due diligence (legal, zoning, environmental). Evaluate land valuation, market trends, and development potential. Negotiate and finalize land purchase or lease agreements. Liaison Activities: Coordinate with local government bodies (municipalities, revenue departments, planning authorities) to obtain required approvals, NOCs, and permits. Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, landowners, and political representatives. Ensure timely processing of land records, title clearance, and registration. Legal and Documentation: Collaborate with legal teams for vetting land titles, drafting agreements (MoU, Sale Deed, JV, etc.), and handling litigation (if any). Maintain and update documentation related to land acquisitions and approvals. Ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, and regulatory frameworks. Internal Coordination: Work closely with the project planning, legal, finance, and senior management teams. Provide regular updates and reports on land acquisition status, risks, and challenges. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Law, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 3–7 years of experience in land acquisition or liaison roles in real estate or infrastructure sectors. Strong knowledge of local land laws, zoning regulations, and government approval processes. Excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills. Proficiency in local language(s) and familiarity with geographic information systems (GIS) is an advantage.
