Laboratory Intern

Job Summary:

The Laboratory Intern will assist laboratory personnel in daily activities, including sample preparation, conducting basic tests, maintaining lab cleanliness, and following safety protocols. This position offers hands-on experience in a laboratory environment and the opportunity to gain knowledge of lab operations and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in sample collection, labeling, and preparation.
• Perform routine laboratory tests under supervision.
• Maintain lab records and logbooks accurately.
• Clean and sterilize glassware, tools, and workstations.
• Support inventory management of lab supplies and reagents.
• Follow all safety and hygiene standards in the lab.
• Assist in data entry and report preparation as required.
• Learn and operate basic lab instruments under guidance.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing or recently completed B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and procedures.
• Good observation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
