Job Description

Qualification Required:

DMLT / BMLT from a recognized institution
Knowledge of laboratory techniques, specimen handling, and safety procedures
Basic computer skills for report entry and documentation

Skills Required:

Good technical knowledge of hematology, biochemistry, and microbiology tests
Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
Ability to handle lab equipment and maintain calibration records
Good communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of infection control and biosafety protocols

Experience Requirement:

12 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory
Freshers with strong practical knowledge may also be considered

Roles and Responsibilities:

Collect, label, and process patient samples (blood, urine, stool, etc.) accurately
Conduct routine and specialized
laboratory tests
as per doctor’s orders
Maintain
proper documentation, registers, and daily test logs
Ensure
quality control and calibration
of laboratory instruments
Coordinate with
pathologist and clinical staff
for timely report delivery
Follow
safety and infection control guidelines
in all lab activities
Maintain
inventory of reagents, consumables, and glassware
Assist in
sample dispatch, report printing, and result verification
Handle patient queries politely and maintain confidentiality
Support in internal/external audits and NABH documentation compliance
