Lab technician

Job Summary

The Lab Technician in the Electronics & Communication Engineering Department is responsible for supporting laboratory operations, maintaining equipment, and assisting faculty and students in conducting experiments and research. The role involves ensuring a safe and efficient lab environment, troubleshooting technical issues, and managing lab resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, microcontrollers, and communication systems.
• Lab Preparation: Set up and configure lab equipment and materials for experiments, practical classes, and research projects as per faculty instructions.
• Technical Support: Assist students and faculty during lab sessions with the operation of electronic circuits, communication systems, and testing instruments.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of lab supplies, components, and consumables, and coordinate with vendors for procurement and restocking.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized lab environment, and enforce proper handling of equipment and hazardous materials.
• Documentation: Record and update lab manuals, experiment procedures, and equipment maintenance logs.
• Software and Hardware Support: Install, update, and troubleshoot software tools (e.g., MATLAB, Cadence, or LabVIEW) and assist with hardware setup for experiments.
• Project Assistance: Support faculty and students in research projects by assembling circuits, testing prototypes, and collecting experimental data.
• Training: Conduct training sessions for students on the safe and effective use of lab equipment and tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
