Job Description

The role you are applying for involves assembling, configuring, and setting up hardware platforms by installing components, flashing BIOS, and updating firmware. You will be responsible for installing and configuring operating systems such as Windows and Linux, along with drivers and necessary software for validation or production environments. In case of hardware and software issues, you will troubleshoot, conduct root-cause analysis, and document resolutions. Collaboration with engineers, lab technicians, and other stakeholders is crucial to ensure a seamless platform deployment and testing process. Additionally, you will be maintaining an inventory of hardware components and monitoring version control of firmware updates. Adhering to lab safety protocols and keeping the workspace organized are essential aspects of this role. Your responsibilities will also include generating and updating documentation related to platform configurations, issues encountered, and their respective resolutions. To excel in this position, you should have experience in hardware assembly, system bring-up, or a similar technical support role. Proficiency in installing and configuring operating systems, drivers, and firmware is required. Familiarity with BIOS/UEFI flashing, firmware updates, and hardware validation tools is beneficial. Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues are essential. Effective communication, collaboration skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset are qualities that will help you succeed in this role.
