Lab Technician

As a Medical Laboratory Technician, your role will involve various tasks related to blood sample collection and laboratory analysis. Your responsibilities will include: - Excellent blood drawing technique to ensure accurate and efficient sample collection - Receiving or obtaining specimens for laboratory analysis and performing order entry if lab assistants are not available - Conducting biochemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to gather data for disease diagnosis and treatment - Maintaining departmental equipment and performing routine maintenance as per guidelines - Recording lab test results accurately - Transcribing materials, filing, and organizing pathology and clinical laboratory files - Printing laboratory reports as necessary - Ensuring on-time dispatch of reports to clients - Preparing request forms and maintaining records of specimens sent to reference laboratories - Sending samples to reference laboratories for tests not conducted in the hospital - Upholding service excellence by providing high standards of customer service, including reducing waiting times, preventing negative occurrences, and demonstrating proactiveness In addition to the specific job responsibilities, you will be expected to hold a Diploma (Preferred) in a relevant field and have at least 1 year of work experience.
