You will be responsible for identifying and reporting needed changes to ensure quality outcomes. Upholding a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and legal regulations is imperative. In situations with unusual test orders, you will be required to contact the physician, pathologist, nursing station, or reference laboratory. Referring unresolved orders back to the originator for further clarification and notifying the supervisor of any unresolved orders is part of your duties. Continuously updating your job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, and participation in professional organizations is encouraged to enhance your skills.
