Job Description

Prepare, set up and check the apparatus, materials and reagents for practical work
Set up laboratory apparatus as requested by teachers for demonstration purposes and check that it functions properly
Provide general assistant to the teaching staff In order to enable the smooth running Check the laboratories at least weekly for the standard laboratory apparatus.
Organize and store equipment, materials and apparatus as required In the laboratories Ensure equipment is in good working order by servicing and cleaning at regular intervals.
Organize for the servicing of equipment by external agencies as appropriate
Maintain an appropriate stock of apparatus, reagents and other consumables In the department and suggest replacements as appropriate
Laboratory assistant will also perform other official work assigned to him
The candidate must hold a degree of BSc (Physics)/Technical Diploma in any of the engineering branches.
Also, the candidates must have working knowledge of MS Office.

Skills and Knowledge

Basic knowledge of English reading and writing necessary
