Job Summary

We are looking for a Lab Technician based in Bangalore.

1.Perform routine medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Responsible for operation of the laboratory.

2.Instrument start up, run, shut down, and daily maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines/manual and SOPs.

3.Timely processing of samples as per SOP including preparation of slides and stains.

4. Performing test within TAT, as per defined Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

5.Undergo training on installed equipment, and standard operating procedures; for tests and qualify for the same.

6.Attend and qualify in training sessions/ seminars for staff.

7.Run QC samples and perform calibrations (*wherever applicable), as per SOP and ensure quality indicators are maintained.

8 .Primary verification of reports/results will be done.

9.Record and maintain rejection register, critical alert documents, machine log, and follow SOPs on the subject. Ensure timely information is provided to senior technician/ supervisor/HOD regarding the same.

10. Carry out duties, including night shift and holiday shift as promulgated by management.

11. Assist in maintaining departmental MIS.

12. To evaluate internal and external quality assurance specimen / samples and help in performing and recording RCA and CAPA.

13. To incorporate result entry of tests performed.

14. To maintain records of all reports.

15. To ensure proper storage of specimens / samples as per SOP.

16. To observe laboratory safety precautions while handling clinical specimens and running tests.

17. To ensure timely escalation and information of critical & any abnormal findings.

18. To assist in documenting consumption of materials as per schedule.

19. To assist in indenting & maintaining records.

20. Processing and reporting of External Quality Assurance specimens.

21. To ensure timely root cause analysis, along with preventive and corrective actions for sub-optimal proficiency test results, biases, trends, etc.

Experience 1 Years to 4 Years. Candidate Profile: He / She should have B.Sc. MLT/DMLT Training, Communication, Work understanding, Good teamwork Skills, Independency & Time management.
