About the Role

L3 Network & System Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Network & Security Management

• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain

  routers, switches, and firewalls

  (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
• Manage

  VPNs, load balancers, and network security protocols

  .
• Monitor and enhance

  network performance, availability, and security

  .

Server Administration

• Manage and maintain

  Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS)

  .
• Administer

  Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL)

  including security hardening.
• Perform

  patch management, backups, and performance tuning

  .

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Implement

  Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  using

  Terraform and Ansible

  .
• Automate system provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.

Virtualization & Cloud

• Manage

  VMware, KVM, OpenStack

  , or similar virtualization platforms.
• Deploy and optimize

  virtual machines, containers (Docker, Kubernetes)

  .

Scripting & Troubleshooting

• Develop scripts in

  Bash, Python, or Perl

  for automation and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot complex system and network issues efficiently.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead and mentor a small team of engineers.
• Ensure proper documentation and best practices are followed.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for IT projects.

Incident Management & Escalation:

• Lead incident management for critical infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for escalation and faster issue resolution.
• Provide post-incident reviews and documentation of corrective actions.
• Conducting regular Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions to train and support L1 and L2 team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

• Deep knowledge of

  networking, firewalls, and security best practices

  .
• Strong expertise in

  Windows & Linux server administration

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  Ansible, Terraform, and automation scripting

  .
• Proficiency in

  VMware, KVM, OpenStack, or similar virtualization platforms

  .
• Strong scripting skills in

  Bash, Python, or Perl

  .

  Certifications (Preferred, Not Mandatory):

• CCNP, RHCE, MCSE, AWS/Azure certifications

  are a plus.

  Leadership & Communication:

  Ability to

  lead a small team

  , collaborate across departments, and document technical processes.
