L2 Support Engineer-(Electronics / Semiconductor Industry)

As an L2 Support Engineer in the Electronics and Semiconductor Industry, your role will involve testing deployment packages using simulators or actual manufacturing equipment such as SMT lines, wafer processing machines, and die bonders. You will be responsible for deploying finalized and validated software packages into production environments like Semiconductor Fab, PCB Assembly Line, and Electronics Product Integration. Integrating software packages with production applications and manufacturing equipment like Pick & Place Machines, Wire Bonders, and Reflow Ovens will also be a key responsibility. Your day-to-day tasks will include analyzing system logs, error messages, and data to troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively. You will work with data formats like JSON and XML for configuration, data exchange, and communication between IT and OT systems. Collaboration with customers, field engineers, and cross-functional internal teams will be essential to support deployment activities and provide technical assistance during production ramp-ups. Additionally, you will be expected to stay updated on IT-OT integration concepts to bridge the gap between industrial automation and enterprise systems. Preferred skills for this role include basic knowledge of Java for debugging or minor development tasks. Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as SECS/GEM, OPC UA, REST API, Modbus, PROFINET, EtherCAT, and Ethernet/IP relevant to the electronics and semiconductor industry will be beneficial. Familiarity with automation tools and industrial control systems like PAC (Programmable Automation Controllers) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) will also be advantageous.,
