Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain
KVM-based virtualization features
and enhancements.
Contribute to the performance tuning, optimization, and stability of the KVM hypervisor.
Work with
QEMU
,
libvirt
, and other virtualization components to build/manage virtual machines.
Develop custom extensions and tooling around KVM to support orchestration and management layers.
Debug and fix issues at the hypervisor, kernel module, or hardware emulation levels.
Collaborate with kernel developers, DevOps engineers, and platform architects.
Write unit and integration tests, and participate in code reviews.
Monitor emerging trends in virtualization and suggest improvements to architecture and processes.

Required Skills:

Strong experience with
KVM
,
QEMU
,
libvirt
, and virtualization stack on Linux.
Excellent programming skills in
C/C++
and scripting with
Python, Bash
, or
Go
.
Deep understanding of
Linux kernel internals
, memory management, I/O, and process scheduling.
Experience with
device emulation
,
virtual CPU/memory
, and
hardware virtualization extensions (Intel VT-x, AMD-V)
.
Proficient with
Linux networking
,
SELinux
, and
cgroups
.
Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD, and debugging tools like GDB, strace, perf.
