Job Description

Kubernetes RANCHER engineer with practical hand-on rancher experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Deploy, configure, and maintain Rancher for Kubernetes cluster management.
Automate cluster provisioning and lifecycle management using Rancher tools.
Monitor and troubleshoot Rancher/Kubernetes environments for performance, availability, and reliability.
Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Development teams to integrate Rancher with CI/CD pipelines and security frameworks.
Design and implement multi-cluster strategies, role-based access controls (RBAC), and policy management via Rancher.
Perform upgrades, patching, and version control for Rancher and Kubernetes environments.
Develop and maintain documentation on Rancher configurations, processes, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

Proven hands-on experience with Rancher in production environments.
Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and networking.
Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker.
Strong experience with Helm, Kubectl, and YAML-based configuration management.
Familiarity with Linux systems administration and shell scripting.
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or Rancher Associate.
Experience working in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
Familiarity with Istio, Linkerd, or other service mesh technologies.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
