Kubernetes Platform Engineer

Torry Harris is seeking a talented and motivated Kubernetes Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Kubernetes platforms that support our diverse range of applications and services. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment and scaling of applications in a containerized environment. Your expertise in Kubernetes will be crucial in optimizing our platforms for performance, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities: - Design and deploy Kubernetes clusters in various environments, including on-premises and cloud-based solutions. - Automate deployment processes and management of containerized applications using CI/CD tools. - Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments to ensure high availability and performance. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for containerization and orchestration. - Implement security measures and compliance protocols for the Kubernetes platform. - Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Kubernetes and contribute to architectural decisions. Skills and Tools Required: - Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration. - Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible. - Understanding of networking concepts and protocols within Kubernetes. - Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
