Job Description

Food Preparation & Production

  • Supervise and participate in food prep, cooking, portioning, and packaging for events.
  • Ensure recipes, portion sizes, and presentation meet company standards.
  • Oversee timely production to meet event schedules and delivery deadlines.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead kitchen assistants, cooks, and prep staff during prep days and event days.
  • Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and provide training or guidance as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between kitchen staff and catering/event managers.

Quality Control & Presentation

  • Maintain high standards of food taste, temperature, and presentation.
  • Inspect trays, platters, and meal components before they leave the kitchen.
  • Ensure consistency across all menu items.

Logistics & Organization

  • Coordinate packing, labeling, and loading of food and equipment for transport.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, equipment, and disposables needed for events.
  • Work with management to place orders or report shortages.

Sanitation & Safety

  • Enforce proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene in accordance with health codes.
  • Maintain clean, organized workstations and storage areas.
  • Ensure all equipment is used safely and operations follow allergen protocols.

Communication & Problem-Solving

  • Communicate timing, issues, and changes to event managers and chefs.
  • Troubleshoot kitchen or prep challenges quickly and calmly.
  • Assist in adapting menus or workflows when last-minute changes occur.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in catering, banquet, or high-volume kitchen operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Working Conditions

  • Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts depending on event schedules.
  • Fast-paced kitchen and onsite event environments.
  • Requires travel to event venues when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹19,982.40 - ₹24,521.84 per month
