Position: Kathak Teacher (Full-time/Part-time)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Teach Kathak dance (both classical and semi-classical styles) to students of different age groups (children, teens, adults).
• Prepare students for stage performances, examinations, and competitions.
• Design structured lesson plans following traditional Kathak pedagogy and modern teaching methods.
• Train students in Taal, Tatkaar, Hastak, Abhinaya, Chakkars, and Gat-Nikas with proper techniques.
• Encourage students to appreciate the cultural and historical significance of Kathak.
• Collaborate with academy faculty for annual concerts, workshops, and productions.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain discipline, punctuality, and a motivating classroom atmosphere.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate/Postgraduate/Diploma in Kathak Dance from a recognized university/academy (e.g., Kathak Kendra, Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, etc.).
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience (freshers with strong performance background may also apply).
• Proficiency in theoretical and practical aspects of Kathak.
• Strong communication skills and ability to connect with students of all age groups.
• Passion for teaching and promoting Indian Classical Dance & Culture.
• Ability to choreograph and present performances for events.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹9,001.47 - ₹30,000.00 per month
