Katalon Automation Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Katalon Automation Engineer to develop and execute automated test scripts using Katalon Studio for web, mobile, and API testing. The ideal candidate will have strong automation skills, experience in test scripting, and a keen eye for identifying software quality issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Script Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon Studio for web, mobile, and API testing.
• Test Execution & Reporting: Execute test scripts, analyze results, and generate detailed reports on defects and automation coverage.
• Test Framework Maintenance: Contribute to the enhancement and optimization of existing automation frameworks.
• Bug Identification & Reporting: Identify, document, and report defects, collaborating with developers for timely resolution.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps.
• Cross-Browser & Mobile Testing: Ensure automated tests run effectively across different browsers and mobile platforms.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, manual testers, and business analysts to improve software quality.
• Test Data Management: Design and manage test data to support automation scripts effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 4+ years of experience in test automation, with at least 2 years using Katalon Studio.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in Java/Groovy for automation scripting.
• Automation Expertise: Hands-on experience with web, mobile, and API test automation.
• Testing Frameworks: Knowledge of TestNG, JUnit, or similar test automation frameworks.
• Test Management: Familiarity with test management and reporting tools like Testmo for managing test cases, runs, and integration with CI pipelines.
• CI/CD Knowledge: Experience with Jenkins, Git, or other CI/CD tools for automation execution.
• API Testing: Experience with REST API automation and tools like Postman or Katalon API Testing.
• Domain Experience: Experience in testing Manufacturing, SAP (e.g., Fiori, S/4HANA), and Salesforce applications.
• Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Katalon Certified Professional certification.
• Experience with cloud testing tools like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Selenium Grid.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
• Prior experience using Testmo's advanced reporting, integrations, and metrics dashboards is a plus.
