Junior Video Editor

As a member of our Multimedia team, you will be responsible for editing compelling videos on national, international news, and entertainment. Your role will involve working on video edits, motion graphics, and creating YouTube-optimized thumbnails. To excel in this position, you must have proficiency in FCP or Premiere Pro, as well as skills in Canva and Photoshop. We are seeking an individual with strong storytelling instincts, attention to detail, and a good understanding of digital trends. Key Responsibilities: - Edit high-quality and engaging videos for YouTube and social platforms covering national, international news, and entertainment. - Collaborate with producers to shape story arcs, pacing, and visual identity for each video. - Create click-worthy, YouTube-optimized thumbnails and motion graphics using tools like Photoshop, Canva, or similar software. - Enhance storytelling and retention by adding graphics, sound design, and color correction. - Ensure quick turnarounds without compromising quality, especially during breaking news or trending topics. - Organize and maintain media assets efficiently to support fast-paced editorial workflows. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in Final Cut Pro (FCP) or Adobe Premiere Pro. - Strong skills in Photoshop and Canva for thumbnail design and graphics. - A keen eye for visual storytelling and understanding of audience engagement trends on YouTube. - 0-2 years of experience in video editing, preferably in news/digital media. Freshers can also apply. - Understanding of YouTube best practices including titles, tags, retention tactics, and thumbnails. - Ability to multitask, work under tight deadlines, and handle constructive feedback positively.
