Junior UI/UX Designer intern

As a Junior UI/UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in the design team by contributing to the creation of user-friendly and engaging interfaces and experiences. This position offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your design skills in areas such as design principles, user research, and prototyping while being guided by seasoned professionals. Your responsibilities will include designing user interfaces for both web and mobile applications, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and delivering a seamless user experience. You will also be involved in crafting wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts and user flows effectively. In addition, you will conduct basic user research through surveys and interviews to gain insights into user needs and behaviors. Participation in usability testing sessions will be essential to identify areas for improvement in designs and enhance user experiences. Collaboration with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders will be key to ensuring the accurate and effective implementation of designs. Maintaining organized design files and documentation will also be part of your role to facilitate collaboration and support future updates. Continuous learning is encouraged to keep abreast of the latest design trends, tools, and best practices, enabling you to contribute innovative ideas and solutions. You should hold a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar software is required. Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is advantageous, along with familiarity with design systems and responsive design principles. Soft skills such as attention to detail, aesthetic awareness, effective communication, and the ability to present design ideas clearly are essential. You should also possess a collaborative spirit, eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and techniques, and be able to work well in a team environment. Preferred qualifications include experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, accessibility standards, and inclusive design practices. A portfolio demonstrating design projects encompassing wireframes, prototypes, and final designs will be a plus.
