Junior Tester

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry-Level / Junior QA Tester who is eager to build a career in software testing, with exposure to both manual and automation testing practices.

You’ll be part of a collaborative QA team, assisting in the design and execution of test cases, identifying bugs, and gradually gaining experience in automation frameworks. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the basics of automation and is ready to apply and grow their skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases to validate new features and bug fixes.
• Document clear, concise, and reproducible bug reports.
• Work closely with developers and senior QA engineers to identify and troubleshoot defects.
• Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing for web/mobile applications.
• Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Participate in reviewing requirements, writing test plans, and identifying test scenarios.
• Contribute to test automation framework improvements as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Understanding of QA fundamentals: test cases, bug life cycle, SDLC/STLC.
• Basic knowledge of one or more automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, WebDriverIO).
• Exposure to any programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for learning.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience using Postman or similar tools for API testing.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Completed coursework, internship, or personal projects involving test automation.
• ISTQB certification or similar QA certification (a plus, not mandatory).
• Awareness of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹7,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
