Junior Technician

Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance under the guidance of senior technicians. Key Responsibilities: • Perform basic vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements). • Assist senior technicians with diagnostics and more complex repair tasks. • Conduct vehicle testing to ensure issues are resolved effectively. • Keep accurate records of work completed and parts used. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored. • Follow all safety procedures and regulations while working in the shop. • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients. • Stay updated on new automotive technologies and repair techniques. Qualifications and Skills: • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical school certification is a plus. • Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and repairs. • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills. • Ability to use basic automotive tools and diagnostic equipment. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • A valid driver’s license (with a clean driving record). Preferred Experience: • Prior experience in an automotive repair shop or related field is an advantage but not required. • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance software is a bonus. Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand, bend, and work on vehicles for extended periods. • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
