Junior Technical Perfumer

As a Technical Perfumer Fine Fragrances with the global fragrance house in Andheri, you will play a crucial role in developing and matching fine fragrance compositions using analytical data derived from GC-MS reports. Your responsibilities will include: - **Fragrance Matching & Development:** - Analyse GC and GC-MS reports to identify key raw materials, structure, and balance of fine fragrance compositions. - Develop accurate fragrance matches and recreate market references or client benchmarks. - Modify or improve existing fragrance formulas for performance, stability, and cost optimization. - **Analytical Interpretation & Raw Material Identification:** - Interpret chromatographic data to deduce fragrance formulation composition and relative proportions. - Collaborate with the analytical team to validate identified components and enhance formula accuracy. - Maintain an updated understanding of key aroma chemicals and natural materials used in fine fragrance creation. - **Formulation & Technical Execution:** - Create and compound fragrance samples based on analytical insights and perfumery knowledge. - Ensure compliance with IFRA, REACH, and other regulatory standards. - **Collaboration & Support:** - Work closely with creative perfumers, evaluators, and analytical chemists to deliver high-quality fragrance matches. - Support client projects with quick turnarounds on technical matches and reformulations. - Maintain detailed records of formulations, analytical interpretations, and project outcomes. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry, Perfumery, or related discipline. - 5-10 years of experience as a Technical Perfumer or Analytical Perfumer in fine fragrance development. - Proven expertise in interpreting GC and GC-MS reports to identify raw materials and create matching blends. - Strong understanding of aroma chemicals, naturals, and fragrance formulation chemistry.
