Role Overview: As a Service Technician, your role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of equipment and systems. You will be responsible for ensuring installations comply with safety standards, performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining detailed records of services performed. Key Responsibilities: - Installation and Setup: - Installing and configuring new equipment and systems according to specifications. - Ensuring installations comply with safety standards and regulations. - Maintenance and Repair: - Performing routine maintenance and preventive servicing of equipment. - Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues to identify faults and determine solutions. - Repairing or replacing defective components or systems. - Customer Service: - Providing excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns. - Educating customers on proper usage and maintenance of equipment. - Documentation: - Maintaining detailed records of services performed, parts used, and work completed. - Generating service reports and updating maintenance logs. - Safety and Compliance: - Adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols for a safe working environment. - Complying with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations. - Continuous Improvement: - Staying updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices. - Participating in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge. Qualifications: - Education: - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred. - Experience: - Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role. - Hands-on experience with various mechanical and electrical systems. - Skills: - Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities. - Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams. Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks. - Willingness to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and heights. Working Conditions: - May involve traveling to customer sites. - Work may be required outside of regular business hours, including weekends and holidays.
