Role Overview: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who wants to build a career in networking and infrastructure support. This role offers hands-on exposure to working with firewalls, switches, server hardware, and IT asset management in a live data center environment. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in basic configuration tasks on FortiGate firewalls (VPN, port forwarding, internet access rules) - Support setup and cabling of network switches and servers - Learn to configure RAID, access IPMI interfaces, and perform OS installations - Maintain IT asset records and inventory of data center equipment - Update documentation, network diagrams, and server logs under supervision - Communicate with vendors and internal teams for hardware coordination and issue resolution Must-Have Skills: - Basic understanding of computer networking (TCP/IP, IP addressing, VLANs) - Familiarity with concepts of firewall and switch usage - Good communication skills and willingness to work in a structured environment - Strong desire to learn and grow in data center and IT infrastructure support - Attention to detail and basic documentation habits Good-to-Have Skills: - Exposure to FortiGate, Mikrotik, Cisco, or other network devices - Hands-on experience in any server or network lab setup during coursework - Any internship, project, or lab work in server deployment, RAID, or IPMI - Basic scripting knowledge or Linux/Windows OS installation experience Educational Qualification: - Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related stream - Candidates who have completed a recognized networking course (e.g., CCNA, hardware networking diploma) will be given preference Why Join: - Great opportunity for early-career professionals to gain hands-on infrastructure skills - Work alongside experienced network and infrastructure engineers - Exposure to real-world data center operations, firewall and switch management - Structured training, SOPs, and mentorship provided for growth
