Job Description

Job Title: Junior Merchandiser
Location: Surajpur Site-5, Greater Noida
Industry: Handicraft & Hard Goods
Experience: 2–5 Years in handicraft & hard goods industry
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 (In Hand)

Job Summary:

The merchandiser is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of sourcing, production, order follow-up, and timely delivery of goods to international clients. The role involves frequent communication with buyers, suppliers, and production teams to ensure that quality and delivery standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Management:
  • Receive and review purchase orders from buyers and confirm the order details such as quantity, specifications, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure orders are processed according to the client’s requirements.
  • Monitor production timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Product Development & Sampling:
  • Work closely with the design and production teams to develop product samples based on buyer specifications.
  • Coordinate the creation and approval of samples, ensuring that they meet quality, design, and other technical requirements.
  • Send samples to buyers for approval and implement feedback for improvements.
  • Production Coordination:
  • Monitor and coordinate the production process, ensuring that timelines are adhered to at every stage.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and work with production teams to find effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular quality checks during production to ensure adherence to the buyer’s specifications.
  • Quality Control:
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that the products meet the required standards before shipment.
  • Address and rectify any quality issues reported during production or final inspection.
  • Communication & Relationship Management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact between buyers, suppliers, and internal teams, providing timely updates on order status.
  • Manage client relationships by addressing queries, providing status updates, and resolving any concerns related to order execution.
  • Reporting & Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, production schedules, samples etc.
  • Prepare regular reports for management on order status, production progress, and any potential delays.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in an export house.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for order tracking and costing.
  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
