Junior Java Developer

As a Java Developer at the Insurance Business Unit, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing high-quality Java applications aligned with business goals and technical specifications. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing and implementing high-quality Java applications in alignment with business goals and technical specifications - Assisting in backend development for web and enterprise applications by writing modular and reusable Java code - Maintaining clean, well-commented, and testable code according to internal coding guidelines - Building and maintaining integrations with internal and external systems, leveraging APIs, queues, and batch processes - Ensuring code quality through test-driven development (TDD), automated testing, and continuous integration (CI) practices - Managing Git-based version control workflows, including branching strategies, code merges, and release tagging - Experience working with IDEs like Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA - Showing eagerness to learn and grow within a team - Notifying the manager proactively if additional guidance or clarification is required for any assigned task or feature Qualifications required for this role include: - Minimum 4+ years of experience in Core Java & Backend Development - Strong hands-on experience with Java (Java 8 or above) including collections, concurrency, streams, and memory management - Working knowledge of the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security) for building enterprise-grade applications - Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and design patterns in large-scale systems Additional details about the company: The Insurance Business Unit provides consulting and implementation services focusing on end-to-end and modular core operational solutions and digital transformation for international insurance companies.
