Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Interior Designer based in Mumbai, Andheri west. The Junior Interior Designer will be responsible for assisting in space planning, creating construction drawings, and supporting the interior design process. They will also work on the selection of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), while coordinating with architects and contractors to ensure project success. Collaboration and attention to detail will be essential in this role.

Qualifications & Skills required

Education: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

Software Proficiency:

• Strong command over Rhino, SketchUp, and V-Ray for high-quality 3D modeling and rendering.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD for construction drawings and detailing.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for presentation layouts.

Technical Skills:

• Ability to create accurate 3D models, realistic material applications, lighting, and photorealistic renders.
• Understanding of space planning, interior detailing, and joinery design.
• Competence in preparing presentation boards and visual concepts.

Design Skills:

• Strong eye for aesthetics, colour, material selection, and composition.
• Ability to translate conceptual ideas into detailed visualizations.

Soft Skills:

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with senior designers, architects, and contractors.
• Time management and adaptability to handle multiple projects in parallel.

Experience: 2-3 years of professional experience (internship experience will be considered).

• Skills in Space Planning and Interior Design
• Knowledge of Interior spaces and Construction Drawings
• Experience with FF&E selection and coordination
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in residential or commercial projects is a plus.
