About the mission:

The Junior European VAT Specialist will collaborate with senior team members to develop a deep understanding of European VAT processes and will be involved in data analysis and reporting, focusing on supporting the VAT compliance reporting of European VT entities. This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation, verification, and submission VAT returns, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and legislation in all the relevant countries in Europe (the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic, France, Spain, Ireland, Italy and Switzerland) and in Israel.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation and file simpler VAT reports (VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastats, etc.) for VTBA European + Israeli companies.
• Conduct basic data analysis to identify discrepancies and anomalies, prepare the VAT reconciliations.
• Manage the timeliness of VAT liability payments and VAT deduction, clearing of VAT GLs.
• Preparation and posting VAT related journals, clear VAT GLs, net off VAT balances.
• Communicate and cooperate with other GBS's teams who affect the source data for VAT reporting.
• Collaborate with senior team members to resolve VAT related issues and queries from tax authorities in Europe and Israel.
• Collaborate with senior team members to develop a deep understanding of VAT processes.
• Stay informed about changes in European + Israeli VAT regulations and guidelines.

Who are we looking for

• You have University degree in tax/finance/economics
• You have at least 1-2 years experience in Accounts Payable or similar job
• Basic VAT knowledge or strong interest in tax area
• Fluent in English
• You are used to working in MS Excel, SAP is an advantage
• Flexibility, proactive approach, self-motivated
• You are a team player, you can work with others
