Junior Biochemist

As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the lab and accurate processing of samples. Your responsibilities will include: - Adhering strictly to the policy on proper dress code and Universal Precautions (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment. - Keeping the department well organized, clean, and adequately stocked with supplies necessary for sample processing. - Daily preparation of hypochlorite solution in accordance with lab safety policy. - Proper segregation and disposal of biomedical waste to adhere to safety regulations. - Recording and upkeep of a daily monitoring checklist for verification purposes. - Managing workflow effectively to ensure timely reporting of results and providing guidance to less experienced lab staff. - Identifying and addressing QC outliers, performing necessary corrections and calibrations, and updating QC values in URT system. - Follow-up on critical/repeat cases and pending samples in LIS for timely report release. - Maintenance tasks including cleaning workbenches, equipment upkeep, and updating essential documentation within the department. - Handling sample reception, segregation, monitoring instrument reagent status, and processing split samples for proficiency testing. - Assistance in documenting and maintaining QMS documents, sending ILQC for verification, and reporting any non-conformance to the DIC. - Submission of material Indent requests to stores with DIC approval, inspection of kits and consumables, and ensuring patient confidentiality. - Active participation in training programs, continual improvement initiatives, acting as an auditee during internal lab audits, and fostering work ethics and team building. The company offers full-time, permanent positions with various shifts including day, morning, night, and rotational shifts. The desired experience for this role is 3 years in Biochemistry.
