Junior Architect

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Assist senior architects in developing design concepts and presentations. Prepare architectural drawings, 3D models, and renderings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar software. Create and modify technical drawings and construction documents. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors for project details. Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and project specifications. Participate in client meetings and design reviews. Maintain documentation and records of design iterations and approvals. Controlling project from start to finish ensuring high quality, innovative and functional design. Liaising with construction professionals about the feasibility of potential projects. Site visits to check on project status and review of design. Providing inputs for the design and specification of materials. Maintenance of drawings. Design coordination and make sure the design proposed by Architects and Consultants are as per Client s expectations. Finalisation of drawings from different consultants/architects. Finalisation of BOQ and re-verifying the same from different consultants. Adherence to all industry standards in design. Communicate with contractors and construction workers to implement designs. Verification of measurement of bills from drawings. Making changes in the flat layouts as per the requirement of the clients. Reviewing blueprints and other design documents to ensure they meet code requirements. Preparing drawings and working with engineers to design new buildings or remodel existing structures. Creating detailed plans for new construction projects based on client specifications. Preparing detailed estimates of construction costs for new projects. Requirements: Bachelor s degree in architecture (B.Arch) 1-4 years of work experience in a design or architectural firm Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and MS Office Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to work in a team environment and handle multiple tasks Willingness to learn and adapt to fast-paced project environments Preferred Skills: Familiarity with sustainable and green building practices Understanding of project management tools and BIM (Building Information Modelling) Hand sketching and conceptual design abilities
