Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, GST & TDS filings, bank reconciliations, and vendor management
The role will assist the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with Indian tax regulations

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping
Maintain financial records by entering daily transactions in Tally ERP / Tally Prime
GST & TDS Filings
Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns and TDS deductions
Ensure statutory compliance under Indian tax regulations
Bank Reconciliation
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to verify cash and bank transactions
Vendor Management
Process vendor invoices, manage payments, and communicate payment status with vendors
Audit Support
Assist in preparing documentation for statutory and internal audits
Petty Cash Management
Handle petty cash and ensure proper documentation of expenses
Month-End Close
Support preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports during month-end close

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, or equivalent
1-3 years of experience in accounting with knowledge of GST and TDS compliance
Proficient in Tally ERP, Tally Prime, and MS Excel
Basic understanding of accounting standards and statutory reporting under Indian laws
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under deadline
