Key Responsibilities

• Coding:

  Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for web application interfaces using

  JSP, Servlets, and JSTL

  .

• Front-End Work:

  Implement responsive and interactive user interface components using

  HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery

  , ensuring cross-browser compatibility.

• Feature Development:

  Assist senior developers in developing new features and modifying existing modules within the application, often utilizing existing

  Struts or Spring MVC

  architecture patterns.

• Integration:

  Work on integrating the JSP front-end with backend Java services and APIs (REST/SOAP) to handle data display and transaction submission.

• Database Interaction:

  Execute basic and intermediate

  SQL

  queries to fetch and update data using

  JDBC

  or ORM tools like Hibernate, focusing on data security and efficiency.

• Unit Testing:

  Write and execute

  unit tests

  (using frameworks like JUnit or Mockito) to ensure code quality and functionality.

• Bug Fixing:

  Troubleshoot and resolve defects and issues identified during quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles in a timely manner.

• Security Adherence:

  Follow defined coding standards and security best practices (e.g., input sanitization, avoiding common vulnerabilities like XSS) specific to the FinTech industry.

• Documentation:

  Create and maintain technical documentation for the modules and components developed.

• Support:

  Participate in the deployment process and provide post-deployment support for new releases.
• Actively participate in daily stand-ups, code reviews, and project meetings in an

  Agile/Scrum

  environment.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, QA engineers, and domain specialists to understand requirements and technical designs.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and demonstrate a strong commitment to learning advanced Java/J2EE concepts and FinTech domain knowledge.

Technical Essentials:

• Experience:

  2 to 4 years

  of hands-on professional experience in software development.

• Core Java:

  Solid understanding of

  Core Java

  concepts (OOPs, Collections, Exception Handling, Multi-threading basics).

• J2EE/Web:

  Proficient in

  JSP, Servlets, and JSTL

  .

• Web Basics:

  Good knowledge of

  HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery

  .

• Frameworks:

  Basic to intermediate experience with at least one J2EE MVC framework (e.g.,

  Struts

  or

  Spring MVC

  ).

• Database:

  Experience with

  SQL

  and working knowledge of relational databases like

  Oracle

  .

• Tools:

  Familiarity with version control systems like

  Git

  or SVN, and build tools like

  Maven

  or Ant.

• Servers:

  Basic experience with deploying applications on an application server .
