Role Overview: You are invited to apply for a Junior Research Fellowship/PhD position at Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) under a time-bound project related to Heritage Architecture & Digital Experience Design. The position is convertible to a Ph.D. upon admission. The work area of the project is focused on Creating Digital Immersive Heritage Experience, Risk Assessment, and Vernacular Architecture Analysis of Five Historically Significant Temple Marvels of Kashi. Key Responsibilities: - The selected candidate will work on the project funded by DST for a duration of 2+1 years. - You will be responsible for conducting research and analysis related to Virtual Reality, Digital Architecture, Design, Conservation, Disaster Management, and Risk Assessment. - Candidates are required to have knowledge and skills in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Digital Experience Design, 3D modeling, VR & AR technologies, as well as proficiency in tools like C#, C++, Unity, Reality Capture, Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine, Blender, Oculus, etc. - Desirable qualifications include experience in Conservation, Research, knowledge of Indian vernacular architecture, and heritage. Qualification Required: - For the Junior Research Fellowship in Architecture/Virtual Reality/Digital Architecture/Design, candidates with M.Arch/M.Des/M.Tech degrees in relevant fields are eligible to apply. - The fellowship amount is Rs. 31,000/- per month for the first and second years with 24% HRA, and Rs. 35,000/- per month for the third year with 24% HRA. - Candidates should have a first-class degree in the mentioned disciplines and must possess knowledge in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Digital Experience Design. - Accommodation in the campus hostel is mandatory and subject to availability as per DST conditions.
