Jr. Formwork Design Engineer

As a Jr. Formwork Design Engineer, based in Ahmedabad, India, your primary responsibility will be to prepare formwork and shoring drawings for various concrete structures using AutoCAD and other relevant software tools. You will play a crucial role in assisting the design, modulation, and drawing activities related to the Construction System. Your tasks will involve planning and allocating materials for formwork activities in coordination with stakeholders at the site. It will be essential for you to ensure the proper usage of all equipment while supervising site activities, including visiting sites for shuttering and executing formwork materials as per design drawings. You must maintain confidentiality of all company documentation and activities. Additionally, finalizing and coordinating shuttering schemes will be part of your duties. To excel in this role, you should possess 1-2 years of prior experience in civil formwork designing or civil structural designing. Proficiency in AutoCAD software and troubleshooting is a must. Technical knowledge of load calculation as per IS code, various scaffolding and shoring systems, and their applications is required. The ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team are essential skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for this role. Hands-on experience with Revit will be an advantage. Your educational background should include a B.E or B-Tech in Civil Engineering at the undergraduate level. Having an M-Tech in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering at the postgraduate level will be an added advantage. This is a full-time, permanent position in the Engineering & Construction industry, specifically in the Formwork Design department.
