Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Joomla Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development and deep expertise in Joomla CMS. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining Joomla-based websites, extensions, templates, and plugins, ensuring seamless user experiences and efficient website functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Joomla-based websites that are responsive, secure, and user-friendly
• Customize and extend Joomla templates and themes to meet project requirements
• Implement Joomla extensions and plugins to enhance website functionality
• Install, configure, and upgrade Joomla CMS to the latest versions
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and content within the Joomla environment
• Monitor and optimize website performance, security, and scalability
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design of Joomla websites
• Collaborate with designers to implement visually appealing web interfaces
• Develop custom Joomla components, modules, and plugins as needed
• Integrate third-party APIs and services into Joomla websites
• Troubleshoot and debug website issues, addressing bugs and errors promptly
• Assist content teams in managing and organizing website content
• Create and maintain content templates for consistency and SEO optimization
• Train and support content editors in using Joomla CMS effectively
• Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and ranking
• Optimize website performance by minimizing load times and resource usage
• Monitor and update Joomla extensions, plugins, and core software for security patches
• Implement security measures to protect websites from threats and vulnerabilities
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, content creators, and project managers
• Communicate technical concepts and project status clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven experience as a Joomla Developer with a strong portfolio of Joomla-based projects
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
• In-depth knowledge of Joomla CMS, including installation, configuration, and customization
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Familiarity with web performance optimization and SEO best practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
