PATH is a global nonprofit dedicated to achieving health equity. With more than 40 years of experience forging multisector partnerships and with expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and dozens of other specialties, PATH develops and scales up innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing heath challenges. About the project Pregnancy-associated anemia is a pressing global public health issue, especially prevalent in South Asia, where it plays a significant role in maternal mortality, contributing to nearly half of all maternal deaths. In India, the burden of maternal anemia is particularly severe, with more than half of pregnant women affected. Anemia during pregnancy not only increases the risk of maternal morbidity and mortality but also jeopardizes the health and survival of newborns.
