Job Title: Procurement Manager – Fresh Produce & Raw Materials Industry: Food & Beverage (Tomato Ketchup, Paste, Fruit Juices) Language Requirement: Fluency in Swahili to lead the sourcing of fresh fruits, vegetables, and other raw materials required for production. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of local farmers, experience in agri-procurement, and excellent negotiation skills. Key Responsibilities Procure fresh tomatoes, fruits, and vegetables directly from local farmers. Manage sourcing and local buying of packaging materials, ingredients, and other production inputs. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and farmer groups. Monitor market trends and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement. Ensure timely delivery of quality raw materials in line with production schedules. Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams for seamless operations. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement Proven experience in farm-level sourcing and local buying. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. Ability to travel locally and build grassroots supplier networks. Fluency in Swahili is mandatory. Foster an open innovation culture in collaboration with startups, universities, and R&D centers. Drive adoption of digital tools and AI culture within the Group through training and change management. Leadership & Team Management Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team (IT, cybersecurity, developers, analysts, external partners). Build a robust talent pipeline in digital and AI across Central and West Africa.
