The Plastic Injection Moulding Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance of injection molds to ensure optimal performance and product quality. The role includes disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling injection molds used in plastic manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on injection molds as per schedule. Disassemble, clean, polish, and reassemble molds using appropriate tools and equipment. Inspect molds for wear, damage, or defects and report issues to supervisors. Repair mold components such as cores, cavities, ejector pins, cooling channels, etc. Operate tool room equipment such as grinders, lathes, milling machines, and polishing tools. Document all maintenance activities and update mold history records. Ensure molds are clean, properly lubricated, and ready for production. Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify and resolve mold-related issues. Follow safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the work area. Maintain inventory of mold components and request parts as needed. Qualifications: ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Minimum 2–5 years of experience in mold maintenance or tool room operations. Strong understanding Plastic of injection molding process and mold design. Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Hands-on experience with hand tools and machine shop equipment. Skills Required: Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and cooling systems in molds. Basic welding, polishing, and bench fitting skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Familiarity with mold flow, mold temperature control, and tooling materials (P20, H13, etc.) is a plus. Working Conditions: Factory/Tool Room environment. Requires standing, lifting, and working with tools for extended periods. May involve night or weekend shifts depending on production needs
