Job Title: Lead Full Stack PHP Developer (Backend Focused) Location: On-site Faridabad About Us: FantasyFi is a cutting-edge fantasy sports platform that combines daily fantasy games and prediction-based tournaments. Our platform is fully developed and requires a highly skilled and experienced lead full-stack developer to drive its evolution, focusing primarily on backend development, optimization, and scaling. We are seeking a senior-level expert who can not only maintain and enhance our existing infrastructure but also lead the technical direction of the platform, leveraging their deep expertise in backend technologies, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and contributing to frontend (React) when strategically important. The Opportunity: As the Lead Full Stack PHP Developer, you will be the cornerstone of our platform's technical success. This is a critical leadership role for an exceptionally experienced individual who thrives on complex challenges and takes ownership of a high-traffic, real-time application. You will be instrumental in shaping the architecture, optimizing performance, and ensuring the robust scalability of FantasyFi. Responsibilities: Platform Leadership & Strategy: Act as the primary technical lead for the FantasyFi platform, guiding architectural decisions and best practices. Define and implement the technical roadmap for backend development, ensuring alignment with business goals. Mentor and potentially lead a small team (as the platform grows) of developers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Conduct comprehensive code reviews, ensuring high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions. Backend Development & Optimization (PHP & Node.js): Architect, develop, and optimize FantasyFis core APIs and microservices, primarily using PHP and Node.js. Drive significant performance improvements across the backend, implementing advanced caching strategies (Redis), asynchronous processing (RabbitMQ), and database optimizations. Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure backend solutions for new features and platform enhancements. Proactively identify and resolve complex technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities. Database Management & Optimization (MySQL & MongoDB): Lead the design, optimization, and scaling of our relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases for high-volume transactions and real-time data access. Implement advanced indexing, query optimization, and sharding strategies to ensure peak database performance and reliability. Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps (AWS): Take full ownership of our AWS infrastructure, including advanced deployment, scaling, and management of services (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Lambda, API Gateway). Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions) for automated testing, deployment, and rollback strategies. Proactively monitor system health, performance, and security using tools like AWS CloudWatch and New Relak, implementing effective alerting and incident response. Optimize server configurations (Ubuntu, Docker, Nginx) for maximum efficiency and security. Security & Scalability: Champion and implement industry-leading security practices across all layers of the application and infrastructure to prevent API abuse, data breaches, and other vulnerabilities. Develop and implement strategies for horizontal and vertical scaling to handle exponential user growth and traffic spikes. Frontend Contribution (ReactJS): Collaborate closely with frontend developers, providing technical guidance and expertise. Contribute hands-on to the ReactJS frontend when strategic or critical to backend integration and performance optimization. Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong emphasis on backend development and a proven track record of leading complex projects. Exceptional expertise in PHP (including modern frameworks) and strong proficiency in Node.js for high-performance backend systems. Mastery of MySQL and MongoDB , including advanced database design, optimization, and scaling techniques for high-traffic applications. Deep, hands-on experience with ReactJS , with the ability to contribute significantly to the frontend codebase when required. Extensive expertise in AWS , including advanced architectural patterns, cost optimization, and hands-on experience with EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and other relevant services. Advanced DevOps skills , including designing and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), containerization (Docker), server management (Ubuntu, Nginx), and infrastructure as code (IAC) principles. Profound understanding of REST API design , security best practices (OAuth, JWT, rate limiting), and advanced scaling strategies for distributed systems. Proven experience with Redis for complex caching strategies and RabbitMQ for robust message queuing and asynchronous processing. Demonstrable experience in architecting, debugging, and optimizing highly available, high-traffic real-time applications. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, leadership-oriented mindset.
