Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with strong automation expertise to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks, ensuring the delivery of highquality software. This role requires a balance of handson automation, leadership in testing strategy, and mentorship of junior QA engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning

• Define and implement the overall testing strategy for web, mobile, and API projects.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Automation Framework Development
• Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks (UI, API, integration, regression).
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve test execution efficiency.
• Testing Execution
• Write, review, and execute automated test scripts across different platforms.
• Conduct functional, regression, performance, and crossbrowser tests.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage by identifying areas suitable for automation.
• Establish QA best practices, coding standards, and documentation.
• Monitor test results, analyze defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Mentor and coach junior QA engineers on automation practices.
• Support release processes by providing test signoffs and quality metrics.
• Drive rootcause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
• Expertise in scripting/programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#).
• Experience with REST/SOAP API testing (Postman, RESTAssured, Karate, etc.).
• Knowledge in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Knowledge in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling) preferred.

Professional Skills

• 5-7+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3+ years in test automation.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problemsolving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
