JBoss Technical Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled JBoss Technical Administrator with 2-4 years of hands-on experience to join our middleware team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting JBoss application server environments while ensuring optimal performance and reliability across our enterprise infrastructure. * Key Responsibilities: JBoss Administration & Management Install, configure, and maintain JBoss EAP/WildFly application servers across development, testing, and production environments Perform routine maintenance tasks including deployments, patches, and upgrades Configure data sources, connection pools, security realms, and messaging queues Manage domain and standalone server configurations Implement clustering and load balancing strategies for high availability System Monitoring & Troubleshooting Monitor application server performance, memory usage, and system resources Analyze log files and identify root causes of application and server issues Perform capacity planning and performance tuning activities Troubleshoot connectivity issues, deployment failures, and runtime errors Coordinate with development teams to resolve application-related problems Automation & Scripting Develop shell scripts and automation tools for routine administrative tasks Create deployment scripts and configuration management solutions Implement monitoring scripts for proactive system health checks Automate backup and recovery procedures Linux System Administration Manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers hosting JBoss environments Configure system services, file systems, and network settings Implement security hardening and compliance measures Perform system maintenance including patching and updates * Required Qualifications Technical Skills 2-5 years of experience in JBoss EAP/WildFly administration Strong proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) Experience with shell scripting (Bash) and basic Python scripting Knowledge of Java application deployment and troubleshooting Understanding of web services, databases, and middleware integration Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or similar Certifications & Education Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification preferred Red Hat Certified Specialist in JBoss Application Administration (JBoss certification) is a plus Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent troubleshooting methodology and documentation practices Ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle multiple priorities Strong communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams Experience with change management processes and ITIL practices Preferred Qualifications Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, OpenShift) Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet) Understanding of database administration (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) What We Offer Competitive salary package with performance-based incentives Comprehensive health and wellness benefits Professional development opportunities and certification support Flexible work arrangements and collaborative team environment Opportunity to work with cutting-edge enterprise technologies Reporting Structure This position reports to the Senior Infrastructure Manager and works closely with the DevOps, Database, and Application Development teams to ensure seamless application delivery and system reliability.
