As a Senior Engineer for Mechanical Maintenance in the Slag Crusher department, you will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical maintenance activities within the department. This includes ensuring that all equipment and machinery are maintained to the highest standards, and that all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner. You will lead the operational team and ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the slag crusher unit, while maintaining safety, quality, and performance standards. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing all mechanical maintenance activities within the Slag Crusher department, developing and implementing maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods, carrying out routine maintenance work and responding to equipment faults, diagnosing breakdown problems and fixing the equipment if necessary, controlling maintenance tools, stores, and equipment, monitoring and controlling maintenance costs, dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs, improving health and safety policies and procedures, working with specialist equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLC) which control machinery on factory assembly lines, writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines, ensuring continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns, planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance, responding to breakdowns and diagnosing faults, repairing equipment and supervising engineering and technical staff, obtaining specialist components, fixtures, or fittings, managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness, maintaining statistical and financial records, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, creating maintenance procedures and ensuring implementation, carrying out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues, checking electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality, planning and overseeing all repair and installation activities, monitoring equipment inventory and placing orders when necessary, monitoring expenses and controlling the budget for maintenance, managing relationships with contractors and service providers, keeping maintenance logs and reporting on daily activities, and ensuring health and safety policies are complied with. You will have key interactions with Junior Management, Senior Management, Mid Management, and will also be involved in Conflict Resolution. Your experience level required for this role is 4 years.
