Job Description

Position: Automation Test Engineer JavaScript

Experience: 5–8 Years

Location: Chennai

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in JavaScript-based automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated test suites to ensure high-quality product delivery across web and API layers.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks using JavaScript.
Build and execute automation scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.
Work closely with developers and QA teams to identify test scenarios and ensure complete test coverage.
Automate web applications using frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or WebdriverIO.
Perform API automation using tools like Postman (Newman) or REST Assured (JS equivalent).
Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Analyze automation results, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate for quick resolutions.

Required Skills:

Strong proficiency in JavaScript for test automation.
Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or WebdriverIO.
Good understanding of API testing and automation.
Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and Agile practices.
Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have:

Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Mocha, or Jest).
Exposure to performance or visual testing tools (k6, Percy, etc.).
Experience with cloud-based test environments (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
